A Wingless BirdTowers, towers, towers. I hate towers. I hate mine especially. What kind of mind creates a tower so near the sky but gives it now windows. I'm not sure if the Toguro's had it special made for me or if their little house came with it. Either way, when I die I plan to find the designer and kill him all over again if he isn't dead already. I can wait, I'm patient enough. I've already waited forty years.

Karasu is Sitting in My WindowKarasu is sitting in my window. That's not really something I ever expected to walk in on, let alone with a baby in my arms. For a moment I'm torn between running and hiding the baby and telling Karasu that smoking isn't allowed in my living room.  My mind finds this is rather like realizing a rabbit has pulled a pocket-watch out of the pocket of his waist coat before realizing that the rabbit's wearing a waistcoat.

"Didn't expect to see me?" Karasu asks.
